Course Introduction

English is spoken by about two billion people all over the world. Based on this fact alone by improving your English skills, a whole new world will open up for you. Besides, living in Britain makes learning it a necessity. Quite frankly where could you learn it better? Opportunities for learning this truly international language are everywhere around us. This is especially true for anyone who is curious and determined to learn it. Even in the age of the internet, living in a country like Great Britain or England is the best way to pick up the language fairly quickly. From the moment you wake up to the time you call it a day and go to bed, English in its written and spoken forms surrounds you. The immersion makes it a whole lot easier to learn the practical and useful aspects of the language. So in this regard, you are lucky. Here at BHUMP, we are committed to teaching you what we have found to be useful while delivering face-to-face classes to hundreds of young people like yourselves. You will be glad to hear that many of those young people arrive in the UK with barely any English. When these young people come to us we provide them with the tools and skills to support their self-study or in some cases an English class they take elsewhere. Many of these young people, we are proud to say, attend Universities, or have graduated.

This course can be studied on its own or alongside other courses you might be taking at the moment. You could also come back to it once you’ve completed this or some other course. In fact, we greatly encourage going over similar material for a few times for better foundational understanding. The repetition will make the language skills come naturally to you. This means the more effort you make to communicate in English, the more enjoyable communication becomes.

Now with this course, we have three main goals:

1. The first one is to make YOU so confident comfortable with English that you will use it daily instead of waiting to have the perfect English.
2. The second one will be to make You feel that you can do courses at colleges or universities
3. The last goal is that YOU no longer let your language skills hold you back from searching and finding a line of work you like or know you will grow in.

Now before we invite you to start the course here are a few tips :

A. We STRONGLY urge and advise you to take out about 30 minutes every single day to complete a few sections at a time. When possible choose quality over quantity. It is better to have a solid understanding of just a few lessons that stick with you.
B. Aim to take written notes either in a paper notebook or digitally which can be on your phone, computer, or even online.
C. Every now and then review these notes.

That is all really. These are very simple ideas anyone can put into practice. We believe If you follow the above tips you’ll find language learning to be fun and exciting. Most of all you will learn English so quickly that you would not believe it yourself.
